Hi Hari,
At the Prometric test site, I was given two scratch paper booklets as well as two sharpened #2 pencils. Each one was a large piece of paper folded down the middle, so each had four writing surfaces equal to a 8.5" x 11" standard sheet of paper for a total of eight pages. I had plenty of room to write. You will have to hand these in upon completion of the exam.
I do not recall that the essay word processing portion had a spell check function. Perhaps someone else can chime in if I am wrong about that.
