  • 1.  CMA Part 2 - did you feel pessimistic and still pass?

    Hi everyone,
I just sat for part 2 on May 24th, and I feel like I didn't do very well. The questions seemed a lot more difficult than part 1 (which I passed with a 390 score in January of this year). I ran out of time, and all of the MCQs seemed very computation heavy. I don't know how anyone could get them done in 1.8 minutes each!

Did anyone else take part 2 and feel like they didn't do well but they still ended up passing? I really don't want to have to retake part 2 again, but my intuition says that I have failed and will likely have to retake it. Just looking for anyone to commiserate with me and give me some hope!

Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone studying out there!

    Hello Angela,

To answer your question, I was pessimistic too at my Part 1 exam and I still pass. Good news is you have reached to essay. Wish you good luck!
Which course material you have referred for exam? Thanks.

    Hello Hari!
I used Wiley for both part 1 and part 2. I liked the videos and also the 11th hour review "crash course" for reviewing content most likely to appear on the exam. I actually took the review course through my university, so I didn't have a choice of review materials because Wiley was the one offered through the course. I can't compare it to Gleim or any others because I've only ever used Wiley. I found the part 1 exam to be much easier than part 2 because I have worked in cost accounting for many years, so the concepts on part 1 were familiar to me.

Have you sat for part 2 yet? What materials have you used for review?
