I felt really prepared with Gleim. I passed part 1 and am still anxiously waiting for part 2 results.

I think it's important to focus on time management. Gleim helps that by pushing for the 20 questions every 30 minutes pacing. If you can do that consistently, you should have at least 15 minutes on the real exam to review, bathroom break before essay section, etc.

And I felt the multiple choice were less complex than the Gleim questions. If you can do the Gleim questions, the real exam shouldn't feel too tough. I recommend doing as many as you can.

    Hope that helps,
    Ed

Some advice based on my experience.  I took the exam in February, I do not have my results but I am staying fresh on my studies to sign up again in May.  The exam is difficult, more difficult than I expected and I studied a lot.

    1. Read a few methods for study retention to establish a good framework for remembering the material.
    2. Read the material in the book, then take the applicable quiz the following day or so.  That will give you a better idea what you need to review because it's not as fresh as same day.
    3. Establish a study schedule and stick to it.
    4. If you get stuck on something take a break and keep going and then go back at a later date.  Sometimes a disconnect from the troublesome material is just what you need.
    5. Understand there are no short cuts, it's a grind but if you put together a plan and stick to it you'll get through the information.
    6. The questions are tricky, they are by design making it very difficult to answer unless you are very comfortable with the material.  Pay close attention to the words in the questions.  You will find that it is very easy to miss an important word and get something wrong in a question that is well within your comfort zone.

Good luck, hope some of this is helpful.

Took Part 2 last June and was surprised that I passed after having to blindly guess on the last 10 questions cause I didn't budget my time correctly for the MC. I took Part 1 of the test early Feb and I am still waiting for the results. I felt confident walking out of Part 2 exam though I still used every second of the 4 hours to answer both MC and Essay. I never left the chair. Time management is critical, I could have easily still used an extra 30 min to generate better and more concise answers  for the essay part.

    1. Get it out of your head that you *need* to answer this particular question early in the MC part especially if its one of the more complex question that require multiple steps and will take longer to answer. Mark it, take a guess and go back to it once you go thru all 100 questions. Its better to have answered 5 extra questions properly even if they are mere 50/50 guesses instead of taking 5-10 min to answer one question cause you were *compelled*  too and must answer it no matter what (IDK maybe thats just me and my craziness or ego) . Learn from my mistake,  running out of time and marking any choice as fast as possible so that you dont leave any question unanswered is such a frantic, awful feeling. Luckily, I was still able to go on to the essay section and still passed.

    2.  Gleim has suggestions too. Here https://www.gleim.com/cma-review/blog/study-tips-for-cma-exam-multiple-choice-questions/

    3. Part 2 MC choice questions were more time consuming due to the amount of equations. Part 1 MC was not quite as work intensive nor as difficult in my opinion. (Yes I realize the passing rate for part 2 is higher than part 1, but its been said that most ppl take part 1 first therefore are more prepared and know what to expect for part 2 thus the higher passing rate.  I agree with that statement)  I agree with another comment that if you are getting 80% and above during your review/mock exams using Gleim or Wiley, you will do fine with topic & content. I practiced over 1,000 MC questions using the Gleim program and did at least 2 essay questions for each section. Will let you know if that paid off as my goal was to get a 450+.

    4. That being said, you only need a 360 to pass. I did so many questions cause I had ample study time due to having surgery. I also focused on my weak areas as Gleims module allow you to track which subsection questions are incorrect. I realize that having a lot of study will not be the case for the majority, don't feel the need to fatigue yourself with endless mock tests.
