  • 1.  Which Part Is Easier

Hi all!  Just tried part one in February and failed with a 300.  I am schedule for part 2 in June.  I used the Hock study program and felt really good about the test so I was completely destroyed when I learned I didn't pass.  Just curious if anyone else is using Hock and which part of the exam is the hardest...one or two?

    Hi Rhonda,

Sorry to hear that you didn't make it.

The general consensus is that Part 2 is slightly easier than Part 1, the reason being that P1 has more accounting terms than P2. I gave P1 in 2016 and failed miserably with a 190 (Yes I didn't make it to the Essays) but that was due to my lack of preparations. I used Gleim back then. Fast-forward to 2018 and I opted for Wiley and passed Part 2 on my first attempt this year but that too was a just pass at 360.

I've no experience in Hock but having tried Wiley & Gleim I can safely say that Wiley is a much better option because of materials provided. The online test bank, video lectures, flashcards etc are a boon to have.

Good luck for Part 2 this June. Don't think much about today's result and focus on the tomorrow's.
