You only need to get half the multiple choice correct to reach the essay if I remember right. I think the weight is 75% multiple choice 25% essay. But your essay is graded multiple times. They do a first pass on everyone's, check scores then if you're on the verge of passing someone else scores your essay. I almost want to say it gets a third look if it's still close
